Saved From God- By God
Posted by davidtjordan under Apologetics, Theology, worship | Tags: atonement, Christian, limited atonement, Michael Horton, salvation, saved, saved from God, substitutionary death of Christ, Theology |I wanted to share an article written by Michael Horton, professor at Westminster Seminary and also the host of the White Horse Inn radio program. In it, he clearly lays out the biblical view of the death of Christ as a propitiation, a substitution and a laying aside of our sin by God the Father.
According to scripture, Christians have been saved FROM God (his holy wrath toward sin), BY God (his mercy from the beginning of time) through His son, Jesus Christ. This was too excellent an article not to post. And there’s nothing else I need to add. Enjoy!

Who is the seeker, us or God

The seeker only seeks once he’s been regenerated, so I’d say God is the seeker. Mankind, by our very nature, do not seek after God naturally. (Eph. 2:3)
